DAY OF REMINDERS
PARKING: Students are free to park in C2 overnight and before game parking begins. All cars must be moved before Crosstown parking or else owners will be liable to tow/ticket
TENTS: Tents will be placed in zones demonstrated by the Board at check-in. Tents are encouraged, but all tents must be put up by noon tomorrow.
ITINERARY: The itinerary will be posted outside of Cintas, online, and given out to each group at check in.
ATTENDANCE: Only one person is required at the campsite at all times, except for check-in and doors open (all members of your groups are required then).
QUESTIONS: Any questions or concerns come to any board member (anyone wearing navy blue jacket or lanyard).
CROSSTOWN CAMPOUT 2023
THE CAMPOUT
Campout 2023 will begin on Friday, December 8th, and continue through Saturday, December 9th for the 6:30 PM tip-off between the Xavier Musketeers and the Cincinnati Bearcats in the 2023 Crosstown Shootout. This once-a-year experience allows Xavier students to express school spirit in a communal manner with fanfare and excitement around Xavier Basketball. This process was formulated in collaboration with Xavier Athletics, the Office of Student Involvement, XUPD, Student Affairs, and other Xavier offices. The following is the timeline of events beginning on Friday, December 8th.
TICKETING & REGISTRATION PROCESS
On Monday, December 4th, online ticket pickup for the Cincinnati game will occur. Students in the Top 500, following the most recent athletic event, will receive priority (registration with a pickup time at 2:00 PM.) All other full-time undergraduate students will have the opportunity to claim the remaining available student tickets at 3:00 PM.
The X-treme Fans Board of Directors will host an Open Meeting on Monday, December 4th to answer any/all questions pertaining to Campout 2023.
Beginning at 4:00PM on Monday, December 4th, groups will be able to register for the campout using EngageXU. The window will close at 12:00PM Wednesday, December 6th.
A form titled “Campout 2023 Group Registration” will be published that allows groups of 2-6 to register.
Only 1 person per group may register (duplicate registrations will disqualify both registrations)
At 3:00 on Wednesday, December 6th, the X-treme Fans Board of Directors will randomly choose group order in line. Spots #2-30 will be reserved for groups composed of junior and/or seniors (due to the lack of Campout and Crosstown at home in the past years). The remaining groups will be assigned randomly.
Groups who do not register during this time may still Campout. However, they will be at the end of the line.
At 5:00PM on Wednesday, December 6th, group order will be posted outside Cintas as well as on social media. The list will also be email to those who fill out the form.
WRISTBAND SYSTEM
Check-in will be Friday night before the game. Every group member will be given a wristband. Wristbands are numbered and will be given out according to group number. The amount of wristbands given per group will be dictated ONLY by the amount listed in the form.
Wristband colors will vary by position in line (EX: groups 1-50 green, 51-100 blue, etc.)
Groups will be allowed into Cintas based on wristband numbers
ENTERTAINMENT & INVOLVEMENT
From 9:00-12:00 PM Friday night and 8:00 AM-2:00 PM on Saturday, student organizations, Xavier offices, and various student performers/artists will be given 30-minute to 1-hour long time slots. During these times, the respective group/individual will have the opportunity to foster activities, provide food/other items, promote their organization, and more!
