The X-Shirt

All Roads Lead to Victory Pkwy | 2022 - 2023 X-Shirt

The new X-Shirt for 2022-23 features the iconic Victory Parkway sign. Our campus, situated off Victory Parkway, is something that many Xavier students, faculty, and alumni take plenty of pride in. The road to Victory is a common theme amongst both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. The proceeds of this year’s shirt will be going to Dragonfly Foundation, a local Cincinnati organization. The Dragonfly Foundation helps those in need of support that are fighting pediatric cancer. The main goal is to support patients and families both during and after their treatment.

History of the X-Shirt

The “X-Shirt” began in 2006, a year after Xavier University and The Follett Corporation began a search for a fundraising initiative and an exciting way to unite the Xavier Nation.  Through this idea, the X-Shirt was born and brings all of the Xavier community together. Each year’s proceeds annually benefit a local Cincinnati charity which is chosen by X-Treme Fans. In its first year, the X-Shirt sold over 2,500 shirts and raised $6,400.  Each year’s shirt is trademarked by the X-Shirt logo at the base of the neck on the back of the shirt. With the designs of the shirt coming from in-house through the X-treme Fans and the Xavier Athletics Marketing Department, the anticipation of each year’s shirt culminates with its unveiling at Musketeer Madness, the unofficial kick-off for the Men’s and Women’s basketball seasons.  The 2022 - 2023 X-Shirt is now available for purchase at the All For One Shop.

Our Home. Our Court. Our Advantage | 2020 - 2021

The 2020 - 2021 X-Shirt focuses on the tradition to celebrate 100 years of Xavier Basketball!  For 100 years, the traditions that make the Musketeers special have been our home, our court, and our advantage. The traditions of the city and the traditions of the spirit of our home-court advantage in Cintas Center are what will allow the tradition to carry on for years to come. Proceeds of this year’s shirt will go to The Music Resource Center Cincinnati. Located just down the street from Xavier, the center uses recording and performing arts, as well as life skills & mentoring, to create a sense of empowerment and accomplishment in the urban community.
